Pests We Treat In Colorado: Beetles

Identification

Boxelder bugs measure between 11 and 14 millimeters long, are black in color, and have red lines along the thorax sides. They also have red wings that are flat and red in color. These bugs are commonly found clustered in warm areas on siding and roofs in order to make their way indoors, and once inside, hibernate through fall and winter.

During the fall, these unwanted pests often enter homes and buildings through:

  • Tears in screen doors
  • Gaps and crevices
  • Cracks in window frames

If you notice buzzing sounds or dropping stains in and around your home or office, give us a call at High Country Pest Control in El Paso and Teller Counties. We would be more than happy to assist you with your extermination services of these pesky creatures.
